Calling all photographers!
Whether you consider yourself an amateur or professional, specialize in equestrian photography (or not), we are looking for your expertise for our upcoming issue. Get your work and expertise featured in a popular quarterly publication!
Since summer is finally on its way, it’s time to get out into the great outdoors, and why not celebrate by dedicating an entire issue to photography and the beauty of summer it captures! The June 2015 issue of The Eloquent Equine is going to be all about equine photography, and we are looking for industry experts and creative individuals to contribute to this jam-packed issue.
We are seeking submission on the following topics:
We are seeking input or full article submissions from experienced photographers on the following subjects:
- Simple life hacks – Tips and tricks and/or DIY projects to help improve your photography
- Photography on the move – getting great action shots at home and in the show ring
- Equipment overview – what are the essentials for any beginner, at an affordable price range
- Make them shine – quick tips to improve the quality of your sales horse photos and market your horse in the best light
All photographers who submit a full length article or contribute significantly to the production of an article are entitled to a two page spread in the issue showcasing some of their favourite work from their portfolio and including a 250 word write up about themselves and/or their business.
We are accepting creative, quality photographs from amateur and professional equine photographers that fit the following themes:
- Fun in the Sun
- Show Ring Ready
- Lazy Afternoons
- Fashion Forward – ROOTDS for horse and rider
Feel free to interpret these themes as you see fit. Photographers are welcome to submit up to 4 photos to be featured in one or more of the above categories.
All images submitted should demonstrate safe horse practice.
Images submitted that includes subjects under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a signed model release form or written permission from the guardian that publication of the image is permitted.
We are looking to feature the work of some great up and coming amateur equestrian photographers. If you are an out of the box thinker with a unique photographic style, we’d love to feature your work.
Featured photographers will receive a 4-6 page spread to showcase their work, as well as a 750 word write up about themselves, their inspirations, and/or their business.
If you are interested in being a featured photographer for this issue, please email us a sample of your photos (2-4 and/or a link to your portfolio) and a 500 word write up of why you would love to have your work featured by our publication.
The cover photo for the issue will be selected from one of the photos submitted by selected feature photographers for the issue.
