Toronto (Nov 09) – Today was Rodeo day at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair. There were thrills, chills, a few spills, and a good amount of good old family fun to be had. Hosted by Ross Millar and CBC Heartland’s Amber Marshall, great North American Cowboys and Cowgirls gave it their all in the Ricoh. It was a packed house, and the audience was thrilled and awed by the great talent of all the riders, working to score in a sport where seconds count. Many off the cowboys also proved just how tough you need to be to compete in Rodeo, as their mounts challenged them to stay on for a full 8 seconds.
The Ontario Toyota Dealer’s Royal Rodeo featured your standard rodeo activities, including saddle bronc, bareback, barrel racing, pole bending and bull riding with unique exhibitions like trick riding and renowned Australian horseman Guy McLean. For a little added competition, competitors and audience members were divided into two teams, “Royal” and “Rodeo”, with Amber and Ross working to get their audience members cheering loudest for their team members. It was a great day of rodeo, family friendly entertainment, and another great show by the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair.
