As we eagerly anticipate the final phase (Jumping) of the Pan Am Eventing competition commencing this afternoon, we thought we’d share some awesome photos from the Cross Country competition yesterday. Our amazing photographer Linda Todd snapped lots of great action shots from the course which showcase the skill and determination of some of these great riders. Not to mention, some of these riders have a serious game face on (or some mix of determination, is this happening, oh joy we made it over face*).
Best of luck to all the riders who rode the course yesterday, and to those proceeding on to the Jumping this afternoon. Its going to be another super hot day out, so to spectators and competitors alike, stay cool, stay strong, and keep your game face on!
*which is totally understandable, as a Dressage rider these fences look TERRIFYING to me
Note: you can hover over each photo for a name of the rider, their horse, and the country they represent.
Also, we can’t forget this epic save by Rider # 23 (COL) Anne Charlotte Brieke riding Picaron. She and her horse held it together and were able to continue on course after this jump.
